Emma & Doug

Emma and Doug wanted an open floor plan where the living room, dining room, and cooking activities could co-mingle and promote family interactions. We added a beam in the attic to allow us to remove walls and create a large open area. To maximize space and traffic flow we designed a monolith between the entryway, kitchen and living room. This acted as a pantry for the kitchen, a buffer between the front door and living room and an ideal place for a cozy corner fireplace with wraparound hearth and mantel.
